In the World or Of It?
Mar 27, 2026In the World or Of It?
To be in the world is to be carried by its current. To be of the world is to stand within it consciously.
One reacts. One authors.
After shedding, sensitivity often increases. You feel more acutely. You notice more clearly.
This can either destabilize you or refine you.
The difference is orientation.
Headlines, conversations, collective emotion, they surge. Without awareness, you surge with them. With awareness, you choose your stance.
Reflection:
-
Where do I get hooked into reaction?
-
What restores my internal axis?
-
How would I respond if I remembered I am participating, not being carried?
When orientation stabilizes, participation becomes intentional. And intentional participation strengthens identity.
