Holding With an Open Hand
Apr 17, 2026Holding With an Open Hand
Clinging is an attempt to prevent loss. Trust is a willingness to participate without control.
After shedding, there can be a reflex to secure what remains. To grip tightly so nothing else dissolves.
But strength does not come from tension. It comes from stability.
Open-handed living does not mean detachment. It means commitment without constriction. Presence without possession. Care without coercion.
Reflection:
-
Where am I gripping from fear of repetition?
-
What would trust look like here?
-
How would I engage if I did not need to control the outcome?
When the hand softens, the nervous system steadies. And steadiness deepens integration.
