My name is Robert Kittridge and I will be your guide. I know you came here to find all about coaching!
Let me share a little of my story. I recently went through a very intense exercise with my coach. And what I become very aware of, was that I really didn't know "what I did?" The market would probably classify me as a coach, however that never felt right.
Anyone that knows me, knows that all about the root of a word so I started exploring. Here is what I found:
A Coach is someone who trains a person or team of people in a particular sport. ... A coach is someone who gives people special teaching in a particular subject, especially in order to prepare them for an examination.
That is what most coaches do is train and develop. I said ok, I do that, and I do more.
I looked at the root of Guide, here is what I found:
Guide: "one who shows the way,"
Boom! That felt right!

Our Olympic athletes, who train for many years to reach the pinnacle of success, have had coaches to help prepare them for the ultimate competition. Having someone else besides yourself to see not only the good but also things that might need adjusting are definite reasons why coaches can be extremely valuable.
